The GDS is particularly important when it comes to receiving business from corporates, as many large companies use it to manage their travel expenses. Known as the « RFP season », every year, between July and September, travel managers send RFP (request for proposal) from corporate clients. Hotels around the world then compete for this RFP to attract more corporate business.
Under GDS Care program our team will administrate the hotel’s GDS corporate & leisure sales, increasing its RevPAR and driving more incremental revenue through following procedures:
- Comprehensive analysis and optimisation of hotel GDS content + full rate & past production audit.
- Market study, set up of prospect TMC, consortia and corporate list. Validation of the list with the hotel team. Hotel inscription on Lanyon for centralized RFP management. Distribution of consortia programs, presentation of the hotel to TMC, consortia and corporate accounts. Coordination and management of the RFPs on behalf of the hotel according to administrative procedures, negotiation terms, system compliance verification and rate loading processes.
- Analysis of the GDS production and activity reports. Developing & maintaining strong relationships with the RFP contacts to ensure success of further negotiations and new income sources for your hotel partner.
